Documents submitted to insurance for Initial Assessment Approval
Upon approval, Boad Certificed Behavior Analyst (BCBA) sets up an appointment for assessmentt and works collaboratively with parents/ caregivers to identify goals and the individuals’ behaviors of concern. Conducts observations across activities and settings and creates a Behavior Intervention Plan after record review
After initial assessment a BCBA develops a highly individualized treatment plans (Behavior Intervention Plan) based on the client's behaviors for deceleration and skill acquisiton discussed during the initial assessment. This document is submitted to the insurance for approval
Once the plan is approved, interventions begin. BCBA trains paraprofessionals and supervises RBT's periodically. Parent training is provided.
BCBA montiors progress client's and take data based decisions for challenging behaviors for deceleration, skill acquisition goals and generalization of skills across caregivers and settings. Plan for fading services as goals are achieved.
Discrete Trial Training is a style of teaching that uses a series of trials to teach each step of a desired behavior or response. DTT is usually performed one on one, and it is highly structured to help the child learn skills by breaking them into simplified steps.

Task analysis are created by breaking complex skills into simple steps and then teaching one step at a time. Caregivers are involved and trained for generalization.

For example, a therapist might teach a student to receptively and expressively label colors of items at the table. Then, during NET the student would get to practice the skill by labelling colors of crayons that you’re coloring with. NET is less structured and ongoing learning exercises take place within individual’s natural settings.
